Bye bye FFXI

So I think I've decided to leave Final Fantasy 11 behind now, its just so dull and boring for me. Its a cliché within the game now but there really isn't much to do besides grind your level, besides which with all the additional scenarios you can now download (for a price) they just seem like they are clutching at straws.

I think after this month on I'll say goodbye (or atleast, 'Until we meet again') and give my account some much needed rest, I have other things to occupy my time so Im not too worried. I'll just wait for Final Fantasy XIV to come out, it looks awesome!

See!

Some funny videos

Here are a few of my choice vid's from good 'ole youtube, all of these are safe for work (as long as you have your headphones in I guess.)

This one is a parody of a clip from Family Guy, and in my opinion way funnier than what Seth McFarlane did...

Next up is an advert for the Discovery Channel, I love the song, it gets stuck in your head!

This one is a cute little song on the first series of the Muppet Show, it was so funny and it makes me smile every time I see it~

The last video in this installment actually caused a bit of a scandal in America, people thought that this group called Yatta are actually a real pop group/boy band in Japan, they are not, this is a parody of what I think is a western concept of Japanese pop culture. Either way, the video is funny, and the tune is so damn catchy

Happy hunting guys, Ill post again soon with more youtube gems!

Summer summer summer

All this free time! I don't know what to do with myself, when I'm not busy marinading in my own sweat that is.

I've recently reactivated my Final Fantasy 11 account for another month, for those of you who don't already know I like to occupy myself by not only making inane comics, but playing two online games (not at the same time, I alternate each month.)

For those who just audibly scoffed and turned up your nose in snobbery, I'd like to point out that not only am I only spending at most £10 a month, but was I to have both accounts running at the same time, it would still be cheaper than the average person drinks and smokes in a month, and I'm not damaging myself at the same time, so get over yourself.

Also its a nice way to keep in touch with my friends, especially when I can't really afford to do anything that resembles fun. I'm finding it increasingly hard to find fun things to do that doesn't involve staying in.

I'm going to post some of the pictures from Tuesdays rimmsie-bash onto my facebook for any of you to get your peepers on.

Edit: And just for your delight, here's a summer related comic...

Two Golden Girls left

Just wanted to highlight that while we are talking about tragic celebrity deaths, there are only two Golden Girls left! I'm a big fan of the Golden Girls, I like qite a few eighties american comadies but the Golden Girls has always been my favourite.

I suppose the modern ones are ok, like Two and a Half Men, I mean my inspiration is still mainly from nineties british comedies such as Spaced and Black Books, the Golden Girls will always have a special place in my heart, as will Estelle Getty, Bea Arthur, Betty White and Rue McClanahan. Estelle Getty (Sophia) died in July 2008 of natural causes, just three days before her eighty fith birthday. Beatrice Arthur (Dorothy) died earlier this year at aged 86, she is a major loss to those campaigning for LGBT rights, and rights for the Elderly.

People may call me a sentimental fool but every time someone who has inspired me passes away its like I lose a part of my past, luckily Rue McClenehen (Blanch) and Betty White (Rose) are still alive and acting.

Life without Michael Jackson?

Well, this is certainly going to be rather odd. Michael Jackson is dead? I suppose you don't really appreciate things until they are no longer there, I have to say though, my life without the enrichment of MJ (my pet name for him, we were close you see) doesn't seem all to different than when he was alive.

It seriously doesn't take much to work the world up into a frenzy does it, I hope the world will be as shocked when I die of a heart attack at the age of fifty (man I'd better start smoking, the rate I'm going I could live to be a hundred!)

Oh yeah, the blog is back, sort of. It'll stay here until I get some new web space, I have very few creative outlets besides drawing, painting, my comics, my music, my photography and my writing, so I decided the blog was something I wasn't prepared to do without. Naturally having no money will put a major crimp in my plans, so until I get my student loans or win the lottery (which would be strange considering I don't play it,) this blog will have to do.

But just 'cause its free doesn't make it any less special right?..

...RIGHT!?
