Lizards rule!

Right, this is a serious post now. Did you know that there are people who believe in a secret race of lizard people?

I'm not normally one to be disparaging about other peoples beliefs, but that does not extend to conspiracy theorists. David Ickle (found at his website here) is an avid 'New World Order' conspiracy theorist who believes whole heartedly that there is a group of reptilian humanoids that has command over (or are, I'm not quite sure) most of the major world leaders... ..and people actually believe him.

He refers to Lucifer, and at one point referred to himself as the son of Christ, (All this can be found on wikipedia but the sources check out) but later goes on to describe how large organised religions (amongst other things) are set up to control humanity and spread anguish, which these 'Global Elite' reptiloids apparently feed from.

You read is and you just think this guy has seen too many episodes of the Twilight Zone, or sat a little too close to the telly whilst watching the Matrix, but other people are buying into this!

Sorry, I don't mean to be disparaging, obviously I'm suffering the mind control of the Global Elite and they are forcing me to say such cynical things, but I'm going to leave it to you guys to read up on this stuff, but in case you need a little push, here's a video...

Wow, if that isn't just the most damning evidence, I don't know what is! Seriously, I'm convinced (no, I'm not.)

Instincts confirmed

So I'm decided to log onto FFXI today and Ive it another chance. I was thinking to myself "I don't really want to play, but I might find something fun to do, and I've paid for it so it would be wasting money if I didn't give it a shot. So I try logging in, I say try because there is a new security feature which I unfortunately bought into, where by as well as a password, you put in a randomly generated six-digit password you get from a Security Token, I got all the way through the PlayOnline viewer, got onto the game and just at the character select screen, I got disconnected.

Which would be fine, happened before right? except when I got DC'd this time I had to input my passwords again, which is a hastle to begin with. I tell you, Warcraft is certainly winning at this point.

So I get onto the game, and decide with nothing better to do, that I might as well join campaign battle. At this point without going into too much detail, for those who don't know anything about the game, there is alot of emphasis on team play, which is unfortunate because it means you can't advance your character without a party (you and five other people with roles that support each other in killing monsters,) which wouldn't be a bad idea if not for the fact that Europe lives in a hole, the Americans are either asleep or at work, the Japanese are either asleep or at work, and what your left with is not enough people to lift a fat chick at Glastonbury. Campaign battle is a small scale operation themed on a war effort, you join countless other soldiers (that are NPC's, 'Non-player characters controlled by the game, sort of like when you play chess against the computer, NPC's are the computer.) Unfortunately, these NPC's are not too bright, and my character died fighting a monster while five other NPC's stood around doing nothing

You can imagine my opinion of the game has his an all time low, and I really regret paying for it this month, but hey, that's my loss.

So yeah, I would say that World of Warcaft is winning out so far, maybe I'm just being too cynical of course, and maybe I just need to give it time to get back into the swing of things (I have been off for two months,) who knows, by august I might be wanting to stay~

Bye bye FFXI

So I think I've decided to leave Final Fantasy 11 behind now, its just so dull and boring for me. Its a cliché within the game now but there really isn't much to do besides grind your level, besides which with all the additional scenarios you can now download (for a price) they just seem like they are clutching at straws.

I think after this month on I'll say goodbye (or atleast, 'Until we meet again') and give my account some much needed rest, I have other things to occupy my time so Im not too worried. I'll just wait for Final Fantasy XIV to come out, it looks awesome!

See!

Some funny videos

Here are a few of my choice vid's from good 'ole youtube, all of these are safe for work (as long as you have your headphones in I guess.)

This one is a parody of a clip from Family Guy, and in my opinion way funnier than what Seth McFarlane did...

Next up is an advert for the Discovery Channel, I love the song, it gets stuck in your head!

This one is a cute little song on the first series of the Muppet Show, it was so funny and it makes me smile every time I see it~

The last video in this installment actually caused a bit of a scandal in America, people thought that this group called Yatta are actually a real pop group/boy band in Japan, they are not, this is a parody of what I think is a western concept of Japanese pop culture. Either way, the video is funny, and the tune is so damn catchy

Happy hunting guys, Ill post again soon with more youtube gems!

Summer summer summer

All this free time! I don't know what to do with myself, when I'm not busy marinading in my own sweat that is.

I've recently reactivated my Final Fantasy 11 account for another month, for those of you who don't already know I like to occupy myself by not only making inane comics, but playing two online games (not at the same time, I alternate each month.)

For those who just audibly scoffed and turned up your nose in snobbery, I'd like to point out that not only am I only spending at most £10 a month, but was I to have both accounts running at the same time, it would still be cheaper than the average person drinks and smokes in a month, and I'm not damaging myself at the same time, so get over yourself.

Also its a nice way to keep in touch with my friends, especially when I can't really afford to do anything that resembles fun. I'm finding it increasingly hard to find fun things to do that doesn't involve staying in.

I'm going to post some of the pictures from Tuesdays rimmsie-bash onto my facebook for any of you to get your peepers on.

Edit: And just for your delight, here's a summer related comic...
